1. Do you have allergies/asthma/eczema/immune disease? Elaborate!
Yep - as you all heard on the first episode - I suffer from environmental allergies of my eyes and nose, asthma and eczema. I have suffered from childhood and have never known life without an inhaler or an itch! 2. Why did you choose to be a part of The Itch?
Because I wanted to help bring more evidence based information to patients and peers. I know that podcasts are very popular and when we searched for podcasts on this topic we couldn't find anything - so, we figured it was a perfect opportunity to start something that might help people. 3. What's your day job?
I am an Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Doctor - I treat both adults and kids Monday - Friday.... on the #upperwestside of Manhattan. 4. You’re a new addition to the crayon box. What color would you be and why?
One of those fancy rainbow crayons - where you get a bunch of colors at once... that's the indecisive Libra in me. when I was little and people asked me my favorite color - I would say rainbow - I guess some things don't change. 5. What is something you like to do the old-fashioned way?
I like to call friends on the phone for a real catch up session here and there --- vs. only keeping in touch through text. 6. What do you bring with you everywhere you go?
Lip balm, I hate the feeling of dry lips. 7. What is your karaoke song?
Picture by Kid Rock and Sheryl Crow- not sure why its just a fun sappy song to sing. 8. What is your favorite thing to snack on?
Clementines!!!! We have a Trader Joe's right next to work and I pick up a bag every week to eat in-between patients. Sometimes I have to buy a second bag for the week! 9. What are you currently reading?
Kamala Harris's autobiography- trying to get ready for the upcoming elections. 2020 - ready for change! 10. Your top 3 podcasts.
Honestly, I am just getting into the world of podcasts. Right now I have been listening to podcasts in the medical world to get an idea of how other people are presenting information to their audience --- so, that we can bring "The Itch" audience the best experience possible.
