Initiative: The Collaborative Translational Mechanistic Research Seed Award. A $100,000 grant pairing laboratory scientists with clinical allergists to move new discoveries directly into patient care.
About Dr. Carla Davis
Dr. Carla Davis is a board-certified pediatric allergist and immunologist and the 2026 president of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology. She is Chair of the Department of Pediatrics and Child Health and a tenured professor at Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, DC. Prior to joining Howard, she spent 27 years at Baylor College of Medicine, where she served as division chief and director of the Texas Children's Hospital Food Allergy Program. Her research focuses on food allergy, health disparities, and translational science, and she has over 135 publications to her name.
